HK53 5.56mm Assault Rifle. This is a HK Germany manufactured example of the latest version with the correct selector and modern flash hider. Deactivated to new spec but cocking handle moves under spring pressure. The HK53 is the compact version of the HK33 and is generally used for close quarters combat. The HK33 is a 5.56mm battle rifle which first appeared in 1968. They are an excellent design and make use of a roller locked, retarded blowback mechanism that does away for the need of any gas pistons etc. This makes them very reliable and the HK33 tends to be able to accept harsher environments like arctic or desert conditions better than its contemporaries. They are part of one of the most successful series of assault rifle families ever, and are still in use all over the world by at least a hundred armed forces and police departments, including the elite British SO19. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K. Please note; these are special order items and there will be a delay in delivery, as they are cut to order.
