Deactivated Soviet 1891 Mosin Nagant 7.62mm Rifle. Matching numbers Tula Imperial production in very good deactivated condition, with Soviet star added later and dated 1929. Copmplete with original canvas and leather sling. The Mosin Nagant M1891Rifle was introduced in 1891 and was the standard issue weapon of all Tsarist Imperial and Soviet forces until 1930. They were a simple, robust design that could continue working in the harsh environments that Russian troops often found themselves in. They had good accuracy and a competent shot would have no trouble hitting a man sized target at ranges out to a 1000 metres. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
