The Smith and Wesson Military and Police Model Revolvers were the old name for what is know known as the Model 10. The Smith & Wesson Model 10 was first introduced in 1899 and is still in production to this day. It has gone through several small redesigns and name changes, but is, in essence, the same standard model. More of this type of revolver have been made by Smith and Wesson than any other model they produce. They are classics, in every sense of the word and have armed soldiers, civilians and police all over the world for over a century.
