Deactivated Matching MG08 Machine Gun + Sled Mount

Deactivated Super Rare German MG08 7.92mm Machine Gun in very good condition and 1917 Spandau manufacture, with full matching numbers. Complete with very rare, correct Sled Mount, which is complete and fully functional, and an extremely rare ZF12 Optical Sight and mount, with clear optics and reticule and a leather case. The MG08 was adopted in 1908 as the Standard German heavy machine gun for all branches of the military. It served on all fronts in WWI as the standard heavy machine gun and was still in use in bunkers and with secondary front line Nazi units until the end of WWII. It was an adaption of the Maxim design and despite appearances, it was not nearly as heavy as it looked and made a very good, reliable infantry weapon that was capable of accurate fire out to ranges of 2000m. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
