Deactivated Charles Lancaster Pistol

Availability: Out of stock

This item is no longer available and is for refence only

Quick Overview

Deactivated Rare Charles Lancaster .476 Calibre Four Barrelled Pistol in good deactivated condition, with very tight, full working action. This is number 66 in a production run of only around 700 pistols made by Charles Lancaster sometime between the 1850s and 1890s. They were mainly bought by British military officers and seem to have been particularly popular with Royal Naval Officers. They were made to the highest standards of the age and Charles Lancaster was famous as being an innovative mechanical engineer, with several military patents under his belt. The Four Barrelled Pistol is no exception and has a smooth double action trigger that fires each barrel in rotation and automatic ejection. A very rare find. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
