Antique Colt Army.44 Colt Calibre Percussion Revolver. 1861 and 1862 dated serial numbers (trigger guard does not match). Fair, original condition, with a hesitant action. This example has had the barrel cut down at some point, probably post civil war, and possibly by FWG? If only this one could talk! The Colt 1860 Army Revolver was first introduced in 1860 and remained in production until 1873. They were used extensively in the American Civil War and were predominantly issued to Union troops. Captured examples were much sought after by the confederacy as their copies were of inferior quality. Obsolete Calibre Antique, no licence required.
