.
WW2 U.S 1943 dated Artillery M1 Optic. Very good condition. M1 Aiming Circle from World War 2, is made primarily of brass, and appears to be in good condition. Aiming circles are basically telescopes mounted on bases which are used to measure for exact azimuth and elevation. They helped the army artillery units strike their targets with accuracy. This piece still has its original, military green paint and is marked "Circle, Aiming, Ml, No. 14216, F.J.A., E.K.CO, 1943".The levels are intact and not cracked or otherwise broken. There is one screw missing on the side and one optical lens missing, see pictures. It's a very nice rare piece of World War II history.
