Snider 3 Band .577 Calibre Rifle in good original condition and live (antique, obsolete calibre) action with full working parts. Tower lock and 1868 dated. The Snider was officially in use with the British army from 1866 until 1874, but was kept in actual service until the beginning of the twentieth century. It served with almost all the colonial armies of the time, all over the globe and there was at least one captured recently in Afghanistan. They were notoriously powerful and could easily kill a man or take a limb off at over a mile. Obsolete Calibre, no licence required.
