Replica British P53 1853 .75 Calibre 2 Band Volunteer Carbine in very good condition, with a full working action, and complete with correct sling. The 1853 Enfield rifle and carbine were first issued in 1853, and served with the British until 1871, when it was replaced by the Martini action. They were also issued to all of the other Empire forces, as well as being bought by the Empire of Japan, The US Army, where they were the most common rifle used in the Civil War, and the Empire of Brazil. They had a practical range of 600 metres (400 metres for the carbine) and hit like a sledgehammer. A trained British Empire soldier could fire 3 aimed shots a minute, though veterans could manage 4 with ease. Pre 1870 replica. VCR Act does not apply.
