French/German MAS 36 - very rare Ground Dug Battlefield Relic (T/C) (136) *

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Mas 36 Battlefield relic.
It has been water washed only, it still has a lot of dirt inside it, is in relic condition, but should clean up further. See pictures for details.
This Mas 36 was issued to the French army at the outset of WW2 and captured by the Germans, probably at the time of the fall of Dunkirk. It was then reissued to the German Wehrmacht and designated the Gewehr 252(f).
This ground dug relic was found in the Kurland Pocket (Latvia) in the positions of the German 16th army or German 18th army.
Ground dug relics are becoming more collectable and desirable because 'they were there.'
