Quick Overview

Obsolete 1871 Mauser 11mm Rifle in excellent condition for age. 1887 dated, Spandau manufacture. The 1871 Mauser Rifle was adopted by the German Empire at the end of 1871. It fired the 11mm black powder round nose bullet at 2000 fps and a well trained infantryman could fire 15 aimed rounds a minute. At the time of their introduction they were considered state of the art, but new innovations led to the introduction of the 1884 model with an eight round magazine and they were quickly relegated to reserve forces and training. Obsolete Calibre, No Licence required.
