Obsolete Calibre Winchester M1866 Yellow Boy SN. 1279 -
Obsolete Calibre Winchester M1866 .440 Nagant Argentine Calibre Yellow Boy Carbine. Argentinian Military Issue, and 1873 dated serial number, in good, original condition, with very good bore, and working action. The Winchester carbines and rifles are without doubt one of the most recognisable guns in the world and have been in constant production since 1873 until this day. They were redesigned in 1894 to have much stronger actions, to handle the new smokeless powder cartridges. They have been made in hundreds of calibres and variations of barrel length and furniture that you would need a whole book to list them all. The action was refined by John Moses Browning and still works well enough that there will probably be lever actions still rolling off the production lines in another hundred years’ time. An absolute classic. Obsolete Calibre, no licence required.
