Obsolete Calibre Matching Mauser Model 1871/84 Rifle SN. 4735 *

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Obsolete Calibre Mauser Model 1871/84 11 x 60mm Rimfire Calibre Rifle. Imperial German stamped throughout, and 1887 Spandau manufacture, with matching numbers and imperial regimental stamps. In good cosmetic, very good mechanical condition for age. The Mauser Model 1871 was developed by Paul Mauser as a successor to the needle gun and was adopted by German forces in 1871. In 1884 an eight round tubular magazine was added, with a magazine cut off device for single shot fire, and this became the 71/84 model. They saw action all over the world, from the Boer War to the end of WWII (reserve Units), and were adopted by 15 countries, including China, Ecuador, and the Otterman Empire. The first real modern Mauser bolt action and a significant piece of firearms history. Obsolete Calibre Antique, no licence required.
