Obsolete Calibre Austrian Steyr M1886 Kropatchek 8mm Rifle in excellent condition. The bore is unblocked and the rifling is excellent, with Imperial Portuguese Crown Stamps. These rifles were made for the Portuguese Army by Steyr and utilised the Kropatchek tubular magazine system, though, with the turn of a lever, the weapon could also fire in single shot mode. They were mainly used in Portugal’s African colonial wars, but many found their way into the hands of the Boers, who used them against the British in the Boer War. Obsolete calibre, no licence required.
