Inert Cutaway Czechoslovakian VZ-58 7.62mm Assault Rifle. 1964 dated with early wooden furniture and correct sling. In excellent condition with full working action and strippable. These left the factory as instructional models for training and instruction. It is stamped SKOLENI, which means training in Czech. The VZ-58 Assault Rifle entered service with the Czechoslovakian armed forces in 1958 and is still in use with Slovakia and the Czech Republic to this day. Like most Czech weapons, they are of ingenious design and made to very high standards. The receiver of the VZ-58 is made from a solid billet of steel, yet it is still lighter than an AKM. They are a very reliable design and have good accuracy at combat ranges. They have been adopted by over twenty countries around the world and often show up in Iraq and Afghanistan. This example was produced as an inert training version, which means there is no need to deactivate, as it was never a live weapon.
