Rare HK21E 7.62mm NATO General Purpose Machine Gun. German Heckler and Koch manufacture in excellent condition, with full moving parts and strippable. This is the latest version with the four position selector that allows semi, three round burst and automatic fire. The HK21E stems from the mid 1980s and was an improved version of the earlier HK21. The HK21 entered service in 1961 with elite units of the West German army and also entered service with over twenty other countries around the world at the same time. Like all HK products, it is a simple, very reliable design and is unusual for this type of weapon in that it has no gas system. It instead operates a delayed blowback action. Other features include a quick change barrel system and an ingenious bottom loading feed tray, which means the gunner can reload the weapon in the prone position and not expose himself to enemy return fire. It is a known favourite of Delta Force and the SEALs and will be around for many years to come. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K. Please note; these are special order items and there may be a delay in delivery, as they are cut to order.
