.
Deactivated Winchester Model 1876 .50-95 Calibre Buffalo Rifle in excellent deactivated condition. Chaparral Arms production with 28 inch octagonal barrel and beautiful colour case hardened action. The M1876 model was almost twice the size of a standard Winchester carbine and was designed to fire the most powerful cartridges. The .50-95 Cartridge is capable of killing any animal in North America out to about 150 yards and the rifle is accurate enough and powerful enough to easily bring down deer and people out to ranges of 400 yards. The Winchester carbines and rifles are without doubt one of the most recognisable guns in the world and have been in constant production since 1866 until this day. They have been made in hundreds of calibres and variations of barrel length and furniture that you would need a whole book to list them all. The action was refined by John Moses Browning and still works well enough that there will probably be lever actions still rolling off the production lines in another hundred years’ time. A classic. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
