Deactivated Sauer 38H 7.65mm Pistol in excellent deactivated condition, with correct Wehrmacht A/37 stamp and matching numbers. Serial number makes it 1945 production. The Sauer 38H was introduced in 1938 and only about 50,000 were produced exclusively for the Wehrmacht until production ended in 1945. They were a popular design, as they allowed the internal hammer to be cocked or de-cocked just by pressing a small lever. This was copied on the Heckler and Koch P9s pistol. They were also very well made and reliable little guns. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
