.
Deactivated British Webley MK VI .455 Revolver. This particular example belonged to 2nd Lieutenant Edward Henry Ronca, of the 1st Battallion, East Kent Rgiment (The Buffs), with his name and unit enscribed on the backstrap. Sadly, he was killed in action on 17/10/18 near Brancourt Le Grand in France. Provenance is supplied with the gun (see pics). New spec and in very good, original deactivated condition. 1918 dated with British military stamps. Also included is the Webley stock and brown leather holster for this weapon. Another classic pistol in use with empire forces from the late nineteenth century until the end of WWII. They had an excellent reputation as man stoppers and could put down a charging native or German with one shot. The quality of manufacture was also very good and their simple mechanisms stood up well to the mud and abuse they received in the trenches of WWI. Many can still be found in use to this day, especially in Asia and Africa and they are still a formidable weapon to be on the receiving end of. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
