.
Deactivated War Finish Webley MK IV .38/200 Snub Nosed Revolver in very good deactivated condition. The Webley MKIV supplemented the Enfield revolver during WWII and was the standard issue for all British and Commonwealth forces. The snub nosed versions were issued to plain clothed troops, like military police investigators and security and intelligence operators. They were not replaced officially until 1963 but so many were in circulation that it was not uncommon to come across them until the late seventies, especially in the more far flung corners of empire. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
