Deactivated Velo Dog Type 6.35mm Revolver in excellent, original deactivated condition and mechanically very tight and all working as it should. These type of weapons were popular from the 1880s right on up into the 1930s. They were originally intended to protect cyclists from dogs but soon found favour as small self defence pistols. They were made mostly in Belgium and France, by hundreds of different companies. Most of them had concealed, double action hammers and folding triggers and were of the solid frame design. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
