Deactivated Extremely Rare UD42 9mm Parabellum Calibre Sub Machine Gun in very good deactivated condition, Strips with moving rear bolt that locks back in the safety notch (under spring pressure), and trigger. Complete with original sling. The United Defence Model 42 SMG was produced from 1942 to 1943 by Marlin for the United Defense Supply Corporation as a replacement for the Thompson submachine gun. This never happened and they ended up being used by agents of the American Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in Italy and France, and by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) in Yugoslavia, Greece and Crete. They were also used by elements of the Polish Paratroopers during Operation Market Garden in Holland. A very well made and accurate weapon, they were well liked by the agents and partisans who used them. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
