Deactivated Tikka M55 Sniper Rifle

Availability: Out of stock

This item is no longer available and is for refence only

Quick Overview

Deactivated Superb Tikka M55 .243 Calibre Sniper Rifle, in excellent deactivated condition. Comes with Tasco telescopic sight and steel Tikka mounts, adjustable stock and quality leather sling. These are the weapons that were used for mid-range sniping by the SBS and SAS until the mid-1990s. The SBS and Mountain and Arctic Warfare Cadre first saw the Tikka in use in Norway, during arctic deployment and were so impressed by them that they started using them, themselves. The .243 Calibre round has a very high velocity and is very flat shooting out to 400 metres. The Tikka guns are famous for their excellent accuracy and reliability, especially in cold and wet environments. They were also adopted by several British police forces, where their pin point accuracy in hostage situations at extended (for the police) range made them a top choice. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
