Deactivated Incredibly Rare Suppressed Luger 9mm Pistol. Full matching numbers (except magazine) and 1938 Mauser manufacture in good original deactivated condition. Only fifty of these were made by Mauser in 1938 as prototypes for a suppressed variant for clandestine purposes. They made fifty of the pictured pistols that were designed to be fitted with a slip on type suppressor that extended beyond and below the barrel. As far as our research can tell, the suppressor units were supposed to be designed and made by another company but this never happened, for reasons we cannot ascertain, and the project was shelved. It is known that the Germans did use suppressed Lugers and P38s on the eastern front in listening stations. The Luger has been around for over a century now and they are still being made. It is probably the most easily recognised pistol in the world and even my granny could recognise one. They are one of the easiest pistols to shoot, as their natural pointability really does allow you aim instinctively and they are, by design, inherently accurate as well. An iconic classic, that every serious collector should have at least one of in their collection. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
