Deactivated Rare Steyr M1905 7.63mm Pistol in very good deactivated condition, with Argentine military stamp. The Steyr M1905 is a pistol designed by Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher in 1899 and originally produced in Austria as the Mannlicher Model 1901. The Modelo 1905 is the version of the Model 1901 that the Argentine Army purchased from Steyr in 1905. This semi-automatic pistol has a unique and elegant appearance due to the curve of the handgrip, which, like its predecessors, has a non-detachable magazine that can be loaded from the top with a stripper clip. The rounds actually slant backwards, in order to give it a narrower profile. The build quality and machining were superb, and the M1905 was very reliable and very strong, despite its elegant appearance. They were used in Argentina by the army until the early 1930s, but may remained in service with the police until the late 1950s. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
