Deactivated Rare British Stanley Hill’s Patent .380 Calibre Self Extracting Revolver in very good deactivated condition, with highly unusual double hinged, tip up loading and extraction mechanism, and hinged side plate for cleaning or stripping. The Stanley Hill’s Patent Self Extracting Revolver was manufactured in several calibres, and under a few names form the early 1870s until the early 1880s. They were extremely well made, expensive examples of the British gunmakers art. They were extremely popular, for those who could afford them, but ultimately the simpler, cheaper to produce Webleys, along with the numerous Adam and Tranter type cartridge conversions ensured that they simply could not compete in an already crowded market. A very rare piece of British firearms history. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
