Deactivated Smith and Wesson Russian Revolver

.
Deactivated Smith and Wesson Number 3 .44 Russian Calibre Revolver, in good, original deactivated condition. The Smith and Wesson Number 3 Revolver first appeared in 1870, and was made until 1915. As well as equipping the Imperial Russian Army, a .45 calibre version by Major George W. Schofield of the US Cavalry improved on the original design. Smith and Wesson were so impressed that they began producing the model with his name on it. They were used by the US army until as late as the Spanish-American War and were also used by the like of Jesse James, Pat Garrett, Theodore Roosevelt, Wyatt Earp and Billy the Kid. They were very well made, powerful, accurate and much faster to load and unload than a Colt Peacemaker. A true classic. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
