Deactivated Rare S&W Model 686 .357 Magnum Snub Revolver in excellent deactivated condition and with the very rare two and a half inch barrel and Pachmyer concealed carry grips. The Smith and Wesson 686 is the stainless steel version of the 586. Otherwise, they are identical in every way. The Smith and Wesson 586 is based on the L Frame, which was introduced in 1980 and was designed to be slightly larger than the classic K Frame, so as to withstand the higher pressure of the modern +P Magnum ammunition. They are in use with police forces all over the world, as well as with private individuals who use them for sport and self-defence. Like all S&W products, the 586 is made to very high standards and the quality is excellent. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
