Deactivated Rare Smith and Wesson 9mm Parabellum Model 547 Revolver in excellent deactivated condition. The Smith & Wesson Model 547 was first introduced in 1980 and was designed to shoot any type of 9mm Para ammunition available. It was capable of extreme accuracy and had very good ballistics that were comparable to the .357 Magnum. It did not need half moon or full moon clips and loose rounds could just be loaded into the chambers and ejected when needed. Although an excellent design and highly reliable, it was the complicated, and more importantly, expensive ejector system that made the 547 the most expensive revolver in Smith and Wessons range. This led to it being discontinued in 1985. Since then, there has always been a steady pressure on them to bring it back, but so far the costs have kept it out of current production. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
