Deactivated Savage Model 1907 Pistol

Availability: Out of stock

This item is no longer available and is for refence only

Quick Overview

Deactivated Savage Model 1907 7.65mm Pistol in very good, original condition. The Savage Model 1907 was derived from a larger, .45ACP calibre prototype that made it to the final two pistols in the US Army pistol trails of 1906. The winner was the M1911, but the savage design nearly beat it. The 1907 Model was derived from this and was a popular gun in its day – mainly due to its large magazine capacity of ten rounds, along with its reliability. They were made up to 1920 when Savage decided to concentrate on rifles and Shotguns, as there was less competition in the market for these types of weapons. The French army bought 40,000 Model 1907s during WWI and many were still in use right up to the end of WWII. A rare gun. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
