Deactivated S.A Sauer M38 Pistol

Deactivated Very Rare S.A Stamped Sauer M38 7.65mm Pistol in very good, original deactivated condition with S.A Nazi stamps. The Slide is marked "SA der NSDAP Gruppe Mitte" which indicates it was issued to a S.A leader within the Mitte district of Berlin. The wooden grips also have the S.A Emblem on the medallion. The Sauer 38 was the earlier version of the 38H and they were only made in small numbers for about 10 months. The Sauer 38H was introduced in 1938 and about 200,000 were produced until production ended in 1945. They were a popular design, as they allowed the internal hammer to be cocked or de-cocked just by pressing a small lever. This was copied on the Heckler and Koch P9s pistol. They were also very well made and reliable little guns. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
