Deactivated Ross MKII Rifle

.
Deactivated Canadian Ross MKII .303 Rifle in very good, original condition, with 1916 date and unit marking stamps on the butt. The Ross MKII entered service in 1907 and was an improved, more reliable version of the MKI. It was renowned for its accuracy out to long ranges and was used as a sniper rifle by both Canadian and British snipers all the way up to the end of the war. It was also unusual in that it was a straight pull design, instead of the more usual bolt action. A rare gun to find deactivated, as they are still prized by target shooters and are still in use. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom, and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
