The Rogers and Spencer Revolver was only made from 1863 until 1865, when the Civil War ended and the government cancelled all of the weapon contracts. They earned a good reputation for ruggedness and reliability and were easily an equal of the more famous Remington 1858. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
