Deactivated Relic Breda Model 30 LMG SN. 2288 -
Deactivated Relic Breda Model 30 6.5mm Light Machine Gun. Latest EU Spec, with moving cocking handle (under spring pressure), safety, and opening top cover. The Breda Model 30 entered service with Fascist Italy in 1930, and continued in production until the end of the war. The Nazis adopted the Breda 30 in small numbers in 1943 as the MG 099(i). They also saw service with the British SAS in North Africa and the Mediterranean theatre. It was rather unusual in that it fed from a fixed hinged magazine attached to the right side of the weapon and was loaded using brass or steel 20-round stripper clips. An extremely rare gun to find in any condition. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
