.
Rare Pair of Consecutively Numbered Deactivated FN N1939 .303 Aircraft Guns. Both in excellent deactivated condition and complete with 2 belt loaders in cases, 2 cased spares and tool kits and all complete in the original crate. These was used in the wings of a British Hurricane Fighter in WWII that was then later sold to Portugal. The FN N1939 was specially designed for the Hurricane and was basically a lightened, cold weather adapted copy of the M1919 for aircraft use. The M1919 Browning series of machine guns has been used all over the world, by more than 70 countries, and has been in service from 1919 until the present day. They are able to operate in any conditions and are very strong and reliable weapons. In the 1960s many were where converted to fire 7.62 NATO and these versions are still being used today, mainly on armoured fighting vehicles. Yet another classic from John Moses Browning. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
