The Colt Detective Special was introduced in 1927 on the Colt ‘D’ frame and was one of the most widely carried revolvers until the 1950s, when the Model 36 gained popularity. This is the version with the un-shrouded barrel, which many consider the more classic design. All Colt revolvers are very well made with smooth actions and are very high quality. A good looking gun and rare to find.
