Deactivated Old Spec Rare Colt Army Special .38 Special Calibre Revolver, in very good deactivated condition, with 1938 dated serial number and 4 inch barrel. The Colt Army Special was exactly the same gun as the Police positive. The Colt Police Positive was manufactured from 1907 to 1947 and was the mainstay police issue weapon in the USA for three generations of cops. They were also popular with private citizens who appreciated the quality and ease of operation that Colt is famous for. There are still tens of thousands of them in American homes and shops and they will turn up for many more years to come.
