Deactivated Old Spec Aqaba SMG

Availability: Out of stock

This item is no longer available and is for refence only

Quick Overview

Deactivated Old Spec Egyptian Aqaba 9mm Sub Machine Gun in good deactivated condition. The Aqaba was basically an easier to produce M45 that did away with the barrel shroud and had a simpler folding stock. Otherwise they were the same. The Carl Gustav M45 SMG, or Swedish K, as it is generally known, entered service with the Swedish army in 1945. Since then, it has been adopted by several countries, including the USA and Ireland and made under license in Egypt and Indonesia. It is the most reliable SMG design ever produced and they can keep going in hideous conditions long after other makes have jammed solid. Their magazines have been widely copied and they were used by US Special Forces and Navy SEAL Teams in Vietnam as wet and humid conditions do not affect them. They were only retired from the Swedish armed forces in 2003, which pretty much says everything. A modern classic. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
