.
Deactivated Nazi P38 9mm Pistol. Rare ac40 code and in excellent deactivated condition but the hammer will not stay back, hence price. The Walther P38 came into service with the German armed forces in 1939. It replaced the Luger, which was too complicated and expensive. The P38 soon gained a reputation for reliability and it was quite usual to leave the weapon free of oil during the harsh Russian winter and it worked perfectly. It was also the first military issue weapon to incorporate a double action trigger. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
