Deactivated Nazi Carcano M38/43 Carbine SN. B3322 -
Deactivated Nazi Issue Carcano M38/43 7.92mm Carbine in good deactivated condition. These examples were converted to the standard German 7.92mm calibre when things started to go wrong for the Nazis. They were issued to frontline units, as well as secondary troops. The changes involved re-boring the barrels, cutting the rear of the breach to allow easier loading of the longer ammunition, and converting the bolt face and extractor. They can be easily identified by these changes, as well as by the S stamping on the receiver and bolt, along with the calibre change stamped on the breach. The Carcano Carbine was introduced in 1891 and served with mounted and armoured troops until it was officially replaced in 1938 by the larger calibre M38, although they were all used until the end of the war by the Fascist forces. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
