Deactivated Nazi 1943 P38 Pistol SN. 6156 “
Deactivated Nazi P38 9mm Pistol. CYQ Spreewerk code, March 1943 manufacture, and in good original deactivated condition, with matching numbers. The Walther P38 came into service with the German armed forces in 1939. It replaced the Luger, which was too complicated and expensive. The P38 soon gained a reputation for reliability, and it was quite usual to leave the weapon free of oil during the harsh Russian winter and it worked perfectly. It was also the first military issue weapon to incorporate a double action trigger. They can still be encountered today, all over the world and will be around for a long time to come. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
