Deactivated Moving Bolt SIG 551 Assault Rifle

Deactivated Swiss SIG 551 5.56mm NATO Assault Rifle in excellent condition, with moving bolt (under spring pressure), trigger and selector. Complete with ACOG combat optic on quick release mount, flip up night sights, and 17 inert rounds. The SIG 551 first appeared in 1993 and was the shorter version of the SIG 550 intended for use by special forces, commando, airborne, and SWAT units. The operating system is based on the Kalashnikov but everything else is pure Swiss engineering. The fit and finish are excellent, the mechanism is simple but strong, and the handling of the gun is very user friendly. They were not as widely adopted as the various M4 or AK type systems (mainly due to price), but put them both to shame and are a favourite with top elite units, like Delta, GIGN, The SAS, and SEAL Team 6. An outstanding battle rifle and a superb design. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom, and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
