Deactivated M16A1 5.56mm Assault Rifle and M203 40mm Grenade Launcher. The M16A1 is in very good deactivated condition, and latest EU Spec, with moving bolt carrier (under spring pressure, see video), fire selector, trigger, and with removable magazine, which can load inert rounds and be loaded in the weapon. The M203 is in excellent deactivated condition, and is 2010 UK Spec and has a full working action and can strip. The launcher is removable from the gun. The AR15 family of weapons was the brainchild of Eugene Stoner. His background in aeronautical engineering meant that he was used to working with aluminium, alloys and plastics. He brought this experience to his firearm designs and came up with the M16. They were a radical design at the time and once the initial bugs were ironed out they proved to be excellent weapons. They are still the preferred weapon of the SAS and SBS and the Israeli Special Forces and are in service with over 50 armies worldwide. The M203 has full working parts and entered service in late 1969 and is still on general issue to this day. It is capable of firing different types of 40x46mm munitions out to ranges of 400 metres. These include high explosive, smoke, parachute flares, ground markers, rubber/ foam bullets and grapeshot, though the latter is officially banned under the Geneva Convention. An excellent bit of kit. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
