Deactivated Moving Bolt Galil SAR / M203 SN. 0138/3634 /

Availability: In stock

£2,495.00

Quick Overview

Deactivated Galil 5.56mm ARM Assault Rifle in very good, original deactivated condition with M203 40mm Grenade Launcher attached with full working parts and, on correct IDF interface. The SAR is supplied with the original front handguard and mount, and the M203 is removable in order to restore the rifle to its original configuration. The rifle has a moving bolt (under spring pressure), moving trigger and safety and removable magazine. Israeli military manufacture, with Hebrew markings. The Galil was introduced in 1972 and is widely accepted as one of the best infantry assault rifles ever designed. This is the SAR (Short Assault Rifle) version in 5.56mm NATO. The 5.56mm version has been adopted by more than twenty countries, including Israel, Portugal (Elite Airborne, Commando and Special Forces) and South Africa. The action is a copy of the Kalashnikov and they are extremely reliable, like the AK, but much more accurate and user friendly. These are EU legal, with dummy steel bolt, made by us, and non removable or compatible with live versions. The M203 entered service in late 1969 and is still on general issue to this day. It is capable of firing different types of 40x46mm munitions out to ranges of 400 metres. These include high explosive, smoke, parachute flares, ground markers, rubber/ foam bullets and grapeshot, though the latter is officially banned under the Geneva Convention. An excellent bit of kit. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
