Deactivated MG15/ST61 Machine Gun # SN. 2211#

Availability: Out of stock

This item is no longer available and is for refence only

Quick Overview

Deactivated Rare MG15/ST61 7.92mm Machine Gun in very good deactivated condition. The ST61 was the water cooled conversion of the air cooled MG15 and these conversions were carried out at MAS in occupied France in 1943. They were supplied under a military aid program to the Romanian 3rd Army Group, fighting on the Eastern Front for the Nazis, and though they were heavy, they were a very reliable Machine gun that could fire all day, as long as it was supplied with water. Many continued after the war on armoured fighting vehicles well into the 1960s, where their weight was not really a consideration. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
