Deactivated Rare Mauser C96 9mm Police Pistol in excellent overall refinished condition. These were converted to 9mm Parabellum, had their barrels shortened and were converted to fixed rear sights in Germany in 1920. They were then issued to the Dusseldorf police area. This is a rare version to come across nowadays. The Mauser C96 was the first successful production semi-automatic pistols in the world and were made to old world standards of engineering and design. There is only one screw in the entire weapon - the grips. Every other part fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. Fantastic German engineering and a total classic design. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
