Like all Mauser products of the time the quality was excellent and they were built to last. They were a popular pocket pistol of the era and many were still being carried during WWII by high ranking staff officers. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
