Deactivated Matching Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine SN. 1253 ^

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Deactivated Soviet Mosin Nagant 7.62mm M38 Carbine. Izhmash 1941 production. Matching numbered action and bolt, in good, original deactivated condition. The Nagant M38 entered service in 1938. Recent documents claim that it was not intended for just second line troops and cavalry, but was intended to fully replace the standard length rifle, as it was considered too long for conventional modern warfare, by the end of the Spanish Civil War, which the Soviets had been monitoring very closely. In fact, the barrel is a full twenty inches long and by today’s standards would be considered quite normal. The Nagants were very tough weapons and could take a huge amount of abuse, like most Soviet designed weapons. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
