Deactivated Lee Metford .303 Rifle. In very good deactivated condition, with volley sights. BSA manufacture and with British military stamps. Entering service in 1884, the Lee Metford Rifle was one of the few military bolt actions that were not based on the Mauser action. They most notably served the British Army in South Africa and various other colonial conflicts, until being replaced by the Long Lee in 1896. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
