Deactivated JO. LO. AR 9mm Pistol in excellent, original condition. The JO.LO.AR. was a semi-automatic pistol from Spain that came in various calibres. It was manufactured from 1924 by STAR and the designer was a Senor J. Lopez de Arnaiz, hence the JO-LO-AR initials. About seventy percent of production went to Peru, with the rest remaining in Spain and Portugal. The design lacked a trigger guard and it had a distinctive lever installed on the right hand side of the frame (referred to as a Palanca) enabling the user to carry the pistol with the chamber empty and be able to cock the weapon all with one hand, which made it useful for the Peruvian Cavalry. Many were lost in the Spanish Civil War and they are now very rare. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
